Terms of Service
Effective October 15, 2026
These terms cover your use of the restability app for iPhone and iPad ("restability", "the app", "we", "us"). By downloading or using it, you agree to them and to Apple's standard license described below.
What restability is
restability is a rest timer. You choose apps to lock, and it locks them while you train and unlocks them while you rest, using Apple's Screen Time. It's a tool you set up and control for yourself. It isn't a parental control or security product, and it doesn't guarantee that an app stays locked: you can change or remove its access at any time in the Settings app.
Train safely
restability times your rest. It doesn't give medical or training advice. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise program, listen to your body, and stop if something hurts. You're responsible for how you train and for the equipment you use.
restability+
restability is free to use. restability+ adds features on top, and you can get it two ways:
- Monthlyis an auto-renewing subscription. The price is shown in the app and in Apple's checkout before you confirm.
- Lifetimeis a one-time purchase. It doesn't renew, and you can get it back on a new device with Restore Purchases.
Free trial
Monthly may come with a free trial for new subscribers; its length is shown before you start it. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and you're charged. If you buy restability+ during a trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
Renewal and cancelling
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in the Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep restability+ until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Billing and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We never see your payment details.
- Prices can change. If a subscription price goes up, Apple tells you first, as App Store rules require.
Apple's license
Your use of restability is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms add to it. Where they conflict, the Standard EULA applies to the extent the law requires. These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for restability or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms who may enforce them against you.
Acceptable use
Please don't try to get around purchase checks, reverse engineer the app, or use it to break the law.
Disclaimers
restability is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including injuries from training, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending
You can stop using restability at any time by deleting it (see the Privacy Policyfor what happens to your data). Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription; cancel it in the Settings app. We may suspend access for anyone who abuses these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. Continuing to use restability after that means you accept the new terms.
